Just thought I’d throw this shot up. It was taken out in Esquimalt Harbour during a nice breeze. This tug went through at about 9-10 knts. (fast in nautical terms). Tugs don’t have the greatest hull design for wake, or lack of wake. Therefore, my friend, surfed the wake in her Byte (a type of boat), This is the Resulting shot —
where's the boat?

As of next paycheque (next week) I will be purchasing the Nikon D80 from work. I will also be purchasing this lens from Byron. The kit lens that comes with the camera is an okay lens. Not the best at all but it got some okay reviews out there on the world wide intertube network.

I’m pretty excited for the new gear. And I’ll be putting up the first set of shots the moment I can.

It’s been a really long time since I’ve gone out specifically to take pictures. Come to think of it I didn’t even do that this morning. I drove my girlfriend to school and then on my way home, took pictures. I’ve just started to shoot in RAW format these are all changed in some small way with Canon’s Digital Photo Professional.

Just thought I’d throw this one up too.

I took this picture back in march. In a ditch on the side of the road. It was snowing, cold and wet. I like that I found some beauty in an unlikely place.

I forgot to add this picture, I later realized that it had no place on the pages. It was taken near Bamfield on Tapaltos Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park. Maia and I were going for a walk on the beach and found it near the water, we helped it get back in the water and took a photo opportunity while we were at it.

This is really nice. The format of this site, it’s completely free and there is so much you can do. I’ve got a few pages up now, I’m putting more pictures up as I go; meanwhile, I’m procrastinating studying. I’m thinking that most of my pictures will go up here in the blog, the rest will be put into the pages, if they are deemed worthy.

Okay, so I know that I don’t have any posts or pictures up here yet, I’m trying this out. I have, for those who don’t know, a friend named Byron. He’s pretty much what got me into photography. I’ve always been interested but he ‘kicked my ass into getting started’.

Check out his site here.
